Slam Stuartʼs Sultry Bow

Slam Stuart standing front and center demonstrates his patented bow technique while accompanied by a strong rhythm section including Louis bells on drums and dick Hyman on keys. One of the first upright players to put the bow to strings in a jazz improvisational context, he set the ground work for future players allowing greater agility and fluidity to help keep up with the demanding tempos associated with jazz music.
