Blues Riff for Mystery Train

Guitar player Steve Schneider puts a personal twist on his performance of the blues classic “Mystery Train.” Schneider’s energy breathes life into the tune, which has also been recorded by such musical greats as Junior Parker and Elvis. Schneider kicks the song off with a classic slow blues riff and then segues effortlessly into the bouncy licks of “Mystery Train.” While not technically intended for guitar lessons, the video allows you to see both of Schneider’s hands clearly. It serves as a wonderful tutorial for players who are trying to get the fingering or picking right for their own version of the song.
