Ana Vidovic Performs Asturias

Ana Vidovic Performs Asturias

The imitable Ana Vidovic plays “Asturias” by Isaac Albéniz. Vidovic shows off her masterful control of the guitar in this haunting performance of a flamenco-inspired piece from the early 20th century. Though originally written for piano, “Asturias” is one of the most well-known compositions for Spanish guitar and is a staple of many classical guitar lessons. Vidovic proves that she is a master of tempo, alternating effortlessly between the fast and slow portions of the song. Flamenco is a romantic genre, infused with the player’s feelings, and Vidovic gives an emotionally charged performance with the effortless ease we’ve come to expect from this former child prodigy. Vidovic’s performance is sponsored by Siccas classic guitars.
